About the Owner

LKN Pitching is run by Karen Sherard who moved to the area in 1993.  She spent her childhood and school-aged years perfecting her pitching and playing softball for elite teams in both North and South Carolina.  Karen has been featured in many articles and newspapers and was recognized as being one of the best pitchers in the state (NC) from 1996-2000.   Karen averaged 10-15 strike outs in every game against top competitors with her favorite pitches being the fast ball and multiple styles of change up.  She looks forward to passing on her knowledge of softball by providing lessons for young athletes in the Lake Norman and surrounding areas.  Karen currently has 2 facility locations and is the Founder of the LKN Kraken's travel softball organization.
